Celebrating Direct Support Professionals

People with intellectual disabilities rely on a Direct Support Professional (DSP) – every day.

Below is a message from Anne Couldridge, CPARC’s Executive Director:

We are proud to celebrate our Direct Support Professionals.  We value and appreciate what DSPs do all year long.

It is our honor to spread some extra gratitude.

If you are a DSP, we want you to know that we celebrate you, your hearts and the support you provide to people with intellectual disabilities.

The folks may show appreciation for you in ways other than the typical “thank-you”. It may be the excitement in their eyes when they see you, or maybe it’s wanting you to sit beside them as they take part in their favorite activities, or coming to you for help because they are most comfortable seeking help from you.  The world is a better place because you are a part of their lives!

Given all that you’ve endured over the past 18 months, there aren’t enough ways to say thank you for your absolute dedication.

You continue adapting to the changes and even when it’s hard for you, you show up and provide support and encouragement to the folks. Thank you!
