You helped Joe try something new

Earlier this year Joe jumped into the unknown when he secured a job washing dishes at Cracker Barrel.

Since he started, Joe’s “become a part of the family of workers.”

This job gets him one step closer to achieving his goals for the future, which include getting his own place. He currently lives in a CPARC apartment.

“I want to buy a house close enough that staff can come visit me,” he adds. “And I want a smaller yard, so I don’t have too much grass to mow.”

I think we can all relate to this!

Because of supporters like you, Joe gets the help he needs to succeed.

For more than 10 years, Joe was a staple in the kitchen at CIT. While there, Joe learned vital skills that helped him in his job search.

Then with help from Christina, a job coach at CIT, Joe landed his new job. They did mock interviews and polished up parts of his resume.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time at Johnny Joe’s Sports Bar and Grill.
